Creating with Craft
Event description
Whether creating a product, an advertisement or even a presentation, there’s a huge difference when people “sweat the
details.” Join us in a conversation around what it means to approach things with a craft focused mindset. Our
panelists have spent years doing this with global companies and personally. We’ll talk about what it takes, how to
stay inspired and some of the challenges in creating an output you’re always proud of.

PANELISTS:
Kelly Wencis, Creative Director @ Bose
A graduate of Syracuse University, Kelly Wencis is on a career-defining mission to reach the
music obsessed. In her role as a Creative Director at Bose Corporation, she dreams up
campaign concepts, captivating retail experiences, and pioneering packaging design systems.
Ever thoughtful but razor-sharp she inspires creative teams with fresh perspectives and thrives
on pushing boundaries.
Originally hailing from the Boston, MA area she currently lives in the burbs with her husband,
two amazing kids and boisterous pup, Maverick. She loves traveling, any culinary adventure
that includes sushi and has been known to play a mean hand of poker.
Keshia Keita, Brand Merchandiser North America @ Converse
Keshia is a Boston Native who mainly goes by Keesh!!! Growing up, Keshia loved sneakers and fashion always! She’d borrow her older brother’s clothing just to make a statement, and let’s not forget the kicks were always fresh. Although she was raised in Boston, she knew her heart belonged to a greater community and ventured to THEE illustrious Hampton University, an HBCU, for undergrad. Here, Keshia’s whole world opened up to an amazing community of black people, and learned that fashion is NEVER linear!
Fast forward a few years, Keshia found herself back in Boston for work, and found a way into Converse by way of
Sales. At Converse she’s handled major accounts like Journeys and Footlocker INC, but wanted to lean more into the
creative space. So she merged her math/science mind with her creative mind and has landed as a Merchandiser for
Converse. Working in multiple spaces within the brand, she currently is a Brand Merchant for Kids Footwear, North
America.
And if that wasn’t enough, Keshia is launching her own business soon, Styled By Keesh, where she will be offering her styling services to clients ready to revamp, refresh, and reintroduce themselves as their best selves with a wardrobe to match.
