Welcome to the CREATION STATION...
*with Artist Teacher Jamia! Pull up a table, sit on the floor, go to your "creation station" of choice as we tune in to our artist radio dial and receive IMAGINATION sensation inspiration!
In this Earth Day inspired* online art class with Jamia Weir, geared toward K-5 elementary aged students, we will explore with scrap paper and cardboard in the home art studio. Learn useful tips and tricks that can help in future artistic endeavors.
*Jamia teaches in a way that is geared toward people of all ages. Techniques can be adapted depending on age/skill level, even adults can benefit from her classes and workshops!
Materials list:
-Paper (any and all kinds can be useful, especially printer paper or colorful construction paper/cardstock, any kinds of paper scraps, old newspapers, magazines, etc.)
-Scissors
-Glue (gluestick and elmer's white glue, etc.)
-"Regular" cardboard scraps (parents can remove the flaps from an old cardboard box)
-Thin cardboard pieces (from old cereal and tissue boxes for example)
-Tape (can be useful but not needed)
-Mark making utensils of any kind (Markers, paints, crayons, oil pastels, etc.)
