This workshop is the second in a series of three that explore Creating a Journalling Practice. The series is an exploration of the importance of journalling and some popular visual methods. The goal of the series is to present you with a range of options outside written journalling that might work for your own reflective practice. As well as discussing techniques and giving you activities to explore the ideas, Kylie will provide you with some resources and additional references to help you discover more for yourself.

Kylie is a huge supporter of the idea of self-experimentation as a means of developing actions, practices and habits that work well for your unique situation and brain. This series explores and introduces some of the more popular visual journalling styles and provides you with references to support you in experimenting with them after the workshop.

In Workshop Two: Creative Activities for Reflection, we will:

Discuss the benefits of a reflective practice
Outline how markmaking, colouring and art activities can support this
Go through a few methods you can use - playing with options and materials
Discuss examples and ideas to help you practice and learn more.

These workshops are designed to help you improve your self-awareness and mental health management. This session also helps you explore a range of simple, easily accessible creative activities to improve mindfulness and creative expression.
