Event description

Join the Riverland Tabletop Guild gang for this hands on fantasy map making workshop. Together we will learn some basic geography rules, discuss some famous fantasy maps and practice drawing common map iconography. With this new knowledge and inspiration each participant will create their own magical map to take home.

Participants will:

Learn about the geography of earth like planets
Explore pop culture fantasy maps for inspiration
Practice drawing map features and icons
Leave with a completed map of your own creation

All materials will be provided.

The Riverland Tabletop Guild Inc is a not-for-profit organisation based in Berri. We were founded in early 2019, by a group of dice wielding D&D nerds who were on a mission to bring people together, foster friendships, and create unforgettable gaming experiences. We host a variety of weekly and monthly events to cater to many different interests. Whether you're a seasoned player or a curious newbie, you'll find a welcoming seat at our table. We organise projects, events, gatherings, meetings, workshops, mentoring and everything in between to achieve this mission. We present quirky, unique and memorable experiences created and curated by regional artists and thinkers: audio walking tours, immersive theatre, collaborative writing projects, visual arts exhibitions, video game jams, intimate concerts and creative based workshop tasters.

We are inspired by DIY culture, contemporary & experimental art, entrepreneurial thinking, community service and a ferocious pursuit of “how could this be better?”
