Event description

Join artist Tania Ferrier to learn how to draw out images from your mind’s eye. Participants will learn the technique of stretching paper and how to begin drawings and paintings through a technique of random mark making with charcoal and acrylic paint.

This fun process teaches through a process of play and is suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners.

Tania Ferrier is an award winning multidisciplinary Australian artist. Her paintings are held in major collections including the Art Gallery of Western Australia and her work was recently shown in the Know my Name exhibition at the National Gallery of Australia in 2022.

Suitable for adults, 18+ years.

Tickets are $15 for City of Belmont residents (Ascot, Belmont, Cloverdale, Kewdale, Redcliffe and Rivervale) and $20 for non-residents.

Students are required to bring:
1 x MDF board. Size 60cm x 90cm in size at 5mm thick (can be purchased from Bunnings Warehouse)
1 x Saunders Waterford paper or similar. 56cm x 76cm. Medium. (can be purchased from Jacksons Drawing Supplies)
