Event description

Creative Bay of Plenty is heading to the beach - and we hope you can join us! The next Creative Connections Lunch is being held on the water’s edge at Flatwhite Café at Waihi Beach, with support from our good friends at Our Place Magazine.

We hope to see creatives that live and work in Te Puna, Whakamārama, Ōmokoroa, Katikati, Athenree and Waihi Beach, as well as those based in Tauranga, Te Puke, Maketu and Paengaroa.

When: 12-2pm, Thursday 10 November 2022

Where: Flatwhite Café, 21 Shaw Road, Waihi Beach

Cost: $17 per person

The menu includes: chicken & spinach quiche; beetroot, feta & pumpkin quiche; cheesy potato bacon bake; Thai vege bake; or homemade mince & cheese pie. All come with either salad or chips on the side. Once you register for the lunch, we will contact you to take your order.

These lunches provide great opportunities to network, share information and collaborate - so we look forward to seeing you there!

Creative Bay of Plenty was founded in 1969 as the Tauranga Arts Council and is the arts and culture umbrella organisation covering Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty. In partnership with our local councils and with the support of regional and national funders (in particular TECT), we support and advocate for the growth of arts, culture and creativity due to their significant contribution to the vibrancy and wellbeing of communities, as well as their positive impact on economic growth and prosperity.

We have a focus on making connections, capability building, advocacy and promoting creatives and their activities. Working closely with local government, schools and educators, iwi, other non-profits and umbrella organisations, funders and the private sector, we focus on ensuring a vibrant, expressive, and diverse sense of creative community to enhance quality of life through the arts. We consider our vision and mission to be essential for a healthy city and region—with arts, culture and heritage seen as a driver of social cohesion and community wellbeing.
