Event description

🌑 CREATIVE CURRENT // New Moon Dance 🌑

This upcoming Virgo New Moon invites you to enter the creative current flowing through you.
To soften the voice of critique and let it dissolve into movement.
To release perfectionism into the compost heap, where it can fertilize mess, vitality, and play.

This is a time to honour your artistry as your true legacy — not performance, not achievement, but the living pulse of expression that only you can carry.

We will gather in the warmth of wood and arches, a space that has held us for years, a space that remembers dance as prayer.

Friday, August 22nd
7–9pm
St Peters Anglican Church, Queenstown
Sliding scale tickets online or $30 at the door

Guided by Sarsha Hope with the sonic artistry of DjaiMa.

All of you is welcome here — no dance experience necessary, no performance required.

Perfectionism is boring. Let’s burn it.
That inner critic? Just modernity squatting in your ribcage. Tonight we dance it into worms’ fodder.

The New Moon doesn’t care about your tidy affirmations.
It wants your awkward hips.
Your grief disguised as laughter.
Your crooked spirals of artistry.

No choreography.
No approval points.
Just this:

  • Let rhythm catch you.

  • Let your body mutter what your mouth has forgotten.

  • Let Earth’s pulse borrow your bones.

“There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening…” — Martha Graham. Tonight we say it again, barefoot, sweaty, irreverent, and alive.
