Event description

Brought to you by The Trusts.

Learn to make paper and design and build an amazing marble run all on the same day!

For kids 8+

In the morning children will learn the art of paper making.  The class involves the use of water and upcycled paper, which is fun… and can be a bit messy!  Kids will get the chance to explore the process of upcycling a natural material that they use every day, and create beautiful handmade paper for their own arts and crafts

Kids will also get to learn about the science behind the process of paper making.  They will discover the amount of water required (alot!!) and they will get to understand the importance of water conservation and sustainability.

For the second part of the day kids will use marbles, cardboard, shoe box lids and more to design and then build their own dream marble run from upcycled materials.

A marble run is a toy where marbles run and roll through a series of obstacles on a track.

Please bring water bottle and lunch.

They will learn how to safely cut cardboard and assemble parts together. They will learn techniques to shape cardboard into tunnels and rails.  This is a fun and creative way to upcycle!
