Join the The ReCreators to learn the various skills and crafts of creative furniture upcycling. 

Learn about modern upcycled painting techniques and the restoration of old furniture.

You will get to practice the four stages of restoration: tripping, sanding, staining and sealing 

And find out how to deal with cracks, breaks and bora.

The ReCreators will teach you various painting techniques that can be used for upcycling furniture or other décor at home. Reusing wooden offcuts we will practice the following techniques:

  • White wash effect
  • Shabby chic effect
  • Layered colours
  • Dot Art
  • Staining

Also learn how to make 1 litre of chalk paint for less than $10 and where to get zero waste discounted paint. This class is suited for adults and is not suited for young children. 

All participants must wear covered shoes and non-flowing clothing (tight-ish!).  Some work may be outdoors, please wear a sun hat and sunscreen if outdoors.

Bring your own rubber gloves. All other materials and tools will be provided.
