    TIME: 10am-2pm
LOCATION: Byron Theatre, 69 Jonson St, Byron Bay

What can be done in the region to help support entering into creative housing models and what are the boundaries?

Join us for a supportive workshop that will help you understand co-housing and land share options. This informative event is designed to provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to build a village, explore creative housing solutions, and find the right property for your needs.

At the workshop, you'll learn about different land and housing models, including regulations for tiny homes, dual occupancies, community titles, expandable dwellings, parameters of a manor house and more. Our expert speakers from the planning department of Byron Shire Council will offer valuable insights and advice to help you navigate the nuts and bolts of planning and understand what you need to know if you're considering going into property with other people.

During the Q&A session, you'll have the opportunity to ask questions, get advice, and learn from our town planner and advisors on creative housing solutions.  Do you need help understanding what can and can’t be done and what to look for in a property? Then this workshop is for you!

The event will take place on Tuesday, May 2nd, from 10am-2pm at the Byron Theatre, located at 69 Jonson St, Byron Bay. We have a limited number of seats available, so be sure to book your ticket early. Lunch will be provided, and we also have a capped number of childcare spots available for the live event. Please book a ticket for your child and state their age.

This workshop is part of a series about land and finance that's designed to help you achieve your long-term, secure, and affordable accommodation goals. Our ongoing community development and support will help you stay informed and committed to your housing goals.
