Join us for the first of our new Creative Industries Catch-Ups, a relaxed evening bringing together creative people, businesses and community organisations from across the Kyogle Local Government Area.

Whether you're an artist, designer, photographer, musician, performer, creative business owner or involved in a local arts or community organisation, this is an opportunity to meet others working across our creative sector, share ideas, make connections and explore opportunities for collaboration.

Creative work can often be a solitary pursuit. These gatherings are about bringing people together, building a stronger creative community and discovering the wonderful range of talent, skills and ideas right here in our region.

What's happening on the night?

An enjoyable evening of good conversation, creativity and connection, including:

• Light catering and refreshments.

• Live music from local pianist Nick Peterson

• An informal introduction to our featured organisation, Arts Kyogle, who will share a little about their work and activities.

• Drinks available by donation, generously supplied by Arts Kyogle. Please bring some cash if you'd like to enjoy a drink.

• Plenty of time to mingle, meet new people and explore the creative spaces.

Two spaces, with plenty of creativity!

While we're gathering upstairs at the Roxy Gallery, guests are also welcome to explore Jodie Harris's exhibition, Salt: Bearing Witness, currently showing in the gallery.

Downstairs, Arts Kyogle will be hosting a pop-up exhibition and sale in 131 Creative. Feel free to wander between the spaces and enjoy the work on display.

Who should come along?

Creative practitioners and professionals, including those working in visual arts, design, photography, music, dance, theatre, creative industries and cultural organisations. We also warmly welcome representatives from community groups contributing to the cultural life of our region, as well as creative people from neighbouring areas who would like to connect with our local community.

Looking ahead

Creative Industries Catch-Ups will take place twice a year, with future gatherings potentially featuring guest speakers, local organisations and topics of interest to our creative sector.
