Creative Matters: Drop-in workshop to create cards and gifts for fathers and father figures

Come along to this fun, hands-on creative workshop where children can create cards and handmade gifts for Dads or other special people in their lives. Using paint, collage and a variety of art materials and techniques, children will be encouraged to explore their imagination, experiment with new ideas, and enjoy the creative process.

These workshops are about more than making art. As children create, they'll have opportunities to reflect on the people who help them feel safe, loved and connected, expressing appreciation and care through their own unique creations. Along the way they'll build creative confidence, fine motor skills, problem-solving and self-expression in a relaxed, supportive environment where every idea is valued. Whether they're creating for a parent, grandparent, caregiver, whānau member or another important person, each artwork becomes a celebration of the relationships that help children and communities thrive.

This workshop is for children ages 4 - 10 accompanied by a caregiver/parent.

Ordinary Wonders includes a five-week programme of FREE workshops, performances, conversations, film screenings, and creative activities designed to celebrate connection, belonging, and the memories that shape our lives.

All events are FREE, but registration is encouraged, with limited places available for some workshops.
