    Event description

During Brain Injury Awareness Week, the Australasian Society for the Study of Brain Impairment (ASSBI) Adelaide Team are holding a workshop on how creative therapies may be applied to brain injury recovery, on August 22nd 2024 at the Flinders City Campus.

This is a student organised event with a licensed art therapist and diversional therapist sharing their insights and experiences. The event will also have a hands-on, interactive workshop component where our therapist guest speakers will guide us through the process of therapeutic art and diversional therapy, and how they help people with brain injuries. Our event will be interdisciplinary, providing a networking opportunity for Adelaide's future practitioners; if you're studying psychology, occupational therapy, medicine, speech pathology, health / medical science, nursing, neuropsychology, or just interested to learn more about art and diversional therapy then we encourage you to attend! This is a great opportunity to learn more about brain injury and evidence based practice. You'll also have time to network with speakers, socialise with like-minded students, enjoy the free food, and learn what the future of Australia's health sector looks like!

So, what are you waiting for? Register for a ticket now, and prepare to learn about the fascinating world of creative therapies in brain injury!
