Come, celebrate and enjoy the wondrous creations as people respond to the challenge to make wearable creations from upcycled materials. Entrants from schools and crafty adults in our communities.
Creating fashion - Upcycling waste
Motueka Arts Council is delighted to partner with Crafty Tarts and Textile ResQ to host the inaugural Creative Transformations Upcycled Fashion Show.
Our aims are, to
engage with the community in creating wearable fashion and creative costumes that recycle and upcycle materials otherwise destined for landfill
profile and develop sewing skills so people can make their own clothes.
The fashion show is the culmination of inviting creatives from around the community to make something special, and a series of workshops to support that.
