    Event description

Brought to you by Creative Communities.

For kids 7+ or 5+ with a supervising caregiver.

In this workshop, kids will learn to use a drill in detail and then design and assemble their own wooden masterpiece.  They will then use paints to decorate their creation.

This is a great opportunity for kids to experiment and think outside the box as they work with the different shapes and sizes of wood provided.

Using wood off-cuts and mis-tinted paint, the kids will give a second life to materials that may have otherwise ended up in the landfill. Children will learn about the importance of sustainability and the role they can play in reducing waste.

This activity will not only be an opportunity for children to have fun, but it will also help instill important values and skills that they can carry with them into their daily lives.

Note: have kids wear old clothing that can get paint on it and closed-toe shoes.

    When:  Tuesday, 4 July, 2pm - 4pm

Where: Glen Eden Library, 12/32 Glendale Road, Glen Eden, East 0602
