Description

Good stories are about relatable characters who change for the better by the conclusion. During this writing-exercise-led class with multi-award-winning author A. R. Levett, discover the fourteen-steps necessary for plotting a believable positive character change arc for your protagonist that will deeply move readers.

Harry Potter and the Philospher's Stone by J. K. Rowling and Cloudstreet by Tim Winton are used to provide in-class examples.

    A.R. Levett

    A. R. Levett B.A., B.Cmm.(Hons) is a multi-award-winning, emerging WA author. He has published multiple poems and short stories in Australian and international publications. His Story Mentoring services help writers hone their skills and turn their ideas into engaging and publishable stories, as with Margaret Cameron’s Top 10 memoir Under a Venice Moon. He has taught at Edith Cowan University, the Albany Summer School, and the Fellowship of Writers WA. He served on the Katharine Susannah Prichard Writers’ Centre board of management and runs regular creative writing classes at the Peter Cowan Writers’ Centre. He is writing a speculative-fiction series.
