    Event description

Join us for a Creative Yoga classes, designed for both parent/carers and their little ones (aged 3-5)

These sessions blend props, partner work, and nature-inspired themes, creating a joyful experience for young (and young at heart!) minds and bodies.

Drawing on themes from nature such as the Cosmos, Australian Outback, the Seasons, and Butterfly Metamorphosis, the classes ignite imagination, physicality and nervous-system regulation through breathing techniques, creative mindfulness and yoga shapes.

Through playful exploration, children develop balance, coordination, and socialisation, while bonding with their caregiver in a nurturing environment, strengthening the child-parent/carer bond.

Our sessions also include time at the end for parent/carers to rest and rejuvenate, ensuring a holistic experience for all.

All levels of ability are welcomed and absolutely no yoga experience is required. The class can also be adapted for people who would like to use a chair.

Albee trained in Children’s Yoga and Creative Dance at Mangala Studios in 2016, and has been a student of yoga and dance with the Mangala School for 34 years, having began at the young age of 4. She has experienced the transformative power of Yoga & Dance in fostering an individual’s sense of self and well being. Passionate about nurturing creative expression in children, she creates classes aimed at fostering a deep connection between body and mind, encouraging exploration through movement, play, mindfulness and breathing techniques. Albee furthered her education by undertaking Trauma-Informed facilitation training with Yoga For Humankind, solidifying her commitment to community focused, culturally aware, inclusive and adaptable teaching practices. To her, yoga & creative dance offer boundless possibilities, and she feels privileged to witness the moments of joy, relaxation and connection they bring to people. During her classes, you can expect a playful, authentic and encouraging approach.
