Do you want use your creative skills to take climate action, and bring action into mahi you are already doing? Then come along to this fun and free workshop, designed for creatives and artists of all kinds to support you to take climate action!
The workshop is hosted by Climate Club Aotearoa and is based on the internationally popular Climate Fresk. We know that storytellers and artists have an important role in creating societal change and we want to help you become empowered to make climate action part of your creative work! Have fun, enjoy some free kai, and meet like-minded artists and creatives to talk about how we can take climate action.

The Climate FRESK workshop will teach you about the causes and consequences climate change in a fun and participatory way, with learnings backed by science. The workshop brings participants through a process of creative learning, reflection and discussion to find actions and empowerment about the climate crisis.
Fun & Interactive: Our workshops are about taking a step back and understanding the causes and consequences of climate change. It brings people together through an interactive game-like format that encourages people to creatively arrive at solutions to the climate crisis together.
For all ages & backgrounds: We have adapted these workshops to work for various different demographics, from age 15 to 100! It works for folks who are completely new to climate change, or veterans looking for a refreshing collaborative brainstorm. All perspectives are welcome at this workshop!
Evidence-based: The 3-hour workshops are based on the globally popular Climate Fresk framework, which are based on the latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change reports. The game has been played by over 2 million people worldwide. It focuses on systems-level change, educating participants on the fundamental science behind climate change while empowering them to take action.

About Climate Club:
Climate Club is a local non-profit organisation aiming to help people across Aotearoa take systemic action on climate change. We deliver a range of workshops to various groups - including schools, councils, and community organisations. Check out our website: climateclub.nz!
About your facilitator: Maia Ingoe, is a programme manager for Climate Club, and is a journalist, activist and creative writer. She has worked in student media, published in the Spinoff, Headland Journal, and previously worked for Radio New Zealand. She is also producing a podcast about her Inspiring Explorers Expedition to Antarctica with the Antarctic Heritage Trust, and has worked both backstage and onstage for theatrical productions. She is passionate about using storytelling to inspire and advocate for the climate and the environment.
