Description

This event brings together artists and illustrators Fabiola Lara and Sophia Yeshi for an intimate and timely conversation on creativity, identity, and representation. Moderated by Patrick Armstrong, the discussion explores the intersection of their lived experiences as women of color and how those identities inform the work they create and share as graphic designers and illustrators.

Both Fabiola and Sophia have been vocal about the lack of representation for people of color within the creative industry. Together, they will reflect on the realities of navigating visibility in a digital-first world—balancing the confidence required to share their work publicly while remaining grounded in advocacy and responsibility to their communities.

The conversation will unpack how they approach content creation, self-promotion, and storytelling with intention, offering insight into how creatives of color can show up authentically, challenge industry norms, and use their platforms to uplift others. This event creates space for honest dialogue, inspiration, and connection for creatives navigating similar paths.
