Join us for an enchanting Mythical Creatures-themed afternoon session. We look to the children to show us how to feel free through movement and imagination. Small mythical creatures join us for free at this event, but reserve your tickets! Of course as always, everyone is welcome at Secret Sunrise Ohio. We invite you to dress up, move and rediscover your inner magic. Let the joy of children- wild and playful, and full of wonder-guide you back to your own. Secret Sunrise Ohio uses silent disco headphones, a uniquely curated playlist, and skilled facilitators to guide you through mindfulness, movement, imaginative play and connection with others. Be curious and join us for our last outdoor session of 2025 Secret Sunrise is a guided movement experience celebrating life that usually happens at sunrise or sunset. Participants wear wireless headphones, like in a silent disco, and listen to a live facilitator who guides them through a joyful, uplifting session with a specially curated playlist. Here's what makes it unique each time: Silent disco style headphones: Everyone hears the same music and guidance, but it's silent to the outside world. Connection:It's not just dancing -- it's about connecting with yourself, others and nature, often held in beautiful outdoor spaces.  Global movement: It started in South Africa and has spread to 21 regiona and cites throughout the world, creating a community of joy, play, and self-expression.  Guided journey: There's usually some breathwork, mindfulness, and expressive movement-not just free dance. It's silent disco-esque, but with more heart, intention and connection.  Think of it as a joyful fusion of meditation, movement, and music. 

What to Expect

The session is 60 minutes long, and will start with gentle mindfulness before you are guided to dance through a journey of uplifting music, incorporating playfulness, movement, connection, and joy. It is an experience like no other! When you arrive, you will be given a pair of wireless headphones, which will help you to truly feel immersed in the music and the moment, and hear your facilitator guiding you.

Date: Saturday October 25 3:15-4:30 pm

Time: arrival @ 3:15 pm receive your headphones and settle into a comfy spot before the session starts @ 3:30 (EST)

Location: Alum Creek Below Dam Recreation Area 5905 Lewis Center Rd, Lewis Center, OH 43035. We will meet on the green space behind Maple Shelter ( the first shelter as you enter the recreation area).

What to bring: 

• A yoga mat or towel/blanket to lay down on

• A bottle of water

• An open mind :) 

• layered clothing come as you are or come as your favorite mythical creature - we encourage self expression!

We will be moving for 60 minutes, so please wear comfortable clothing that you can move freely in.
