Verum Arts is proud to present Credulous: An Original Jazz Musical. Since debuting in 2022, Credulous has evolved into a captivating full-length musical directed by Ernest Corbet and Arina Dara.

The story follows Aida (Maddie Martin), a credulous young woman who has suffered the tragic and sudden loss of her partner Toby (Ethan Irvine), a young charismatic man. With the help of her overbearing mother, Lydia (Spooky), a flamboyant, mystical being called Venus (Isaac Ruthenberg) and their two loyal Whispers (Ella Dickson, Tabitha Franklin), Aida must decide just how much she's prepared to sacrifice to bring the love of her life back. 

Created by Arina Dara, written by Phoebe Quinn with music by Max Berger and Alex Wilson, Credulous is a new-age, jazz musical that explores themes of grief, family, and betrayal and questions just how far we are willing to go for love.
