The music of Creekbed Carter Hogan (he/they) is a quiet act of defiance made at the end of your rope. It is the warm feeling of solidarity coursing through your body as you link arms with strangers. It is a hard-won laugh, brittle but brave, in the face of what hurt you the most. It is finding hope where there is none, asking questions when you’re told to stay quiet, demanding a future you believe in, and facing a world hellbent on destruction with community, enthusiasm, and joy.

Lyndsay Audra Nissen is an uncommon artist and a woman with something to say about it all.  A singer-songwriter and bandleader from Ames, Iowa, her adult musical adventures have taken her to Madison, Wisconsin, Santa Cruz, California, around the world and back to Ames where she shares her Third Space with artists and musicians and a coffee shop.  Her songs are dramatic,  and call on ghosts from Gershwin to Billie Holiday and tangle waltz dance with Ani DiFranco,  Joan Baez, John Waters and Leonard Cohen. Her voice has been compared to Neko Case, Grace Slick and Natalie Merchant and her stage banter is engaging, honest and funny. 

Currently, Lyndsay Audra is performing music through her solo shows, every full moon with her Psychadelic Folk Rock Art band Wiitch Tiit and Reliable Street.
