Event description
After school classes designed to get kids a head start in their filmmaking journey.
Over the 10 week school term, our film industry educators will give students practical hands-on experience using industry equipment and best practices.
One of the hardest thing about starting your career in the film industry is 'how'. We're all told find out what you want to do, and network. But both of those are pretty hard for someone starting out who hasn't already got some industry connections. Yet at the same time the industry is screaming out for keen entry level people if only they knew the basics.
This is what you'll get in our Crew School.
It's designed for teens who want some exposure to start developing their film career and to actually get their foot in the door.
We'll cover topics such as:
- Roles and Responsibilities Onset
- Camera Operating & Assisting
- Lighting Setups & Equipment
- On Set Etiquette
- Sound Recording & Boom Operating
- Assistant Directing & Scheduling
- ... And more!
Many of our students are now regularly working on shorts, commercials and films. Plus there's opportunities to work as crew on Pluggas productions as your skills develop.
