Crooked River Estate Cabbage Tree Palm planting
Event description
Join Landcare Illawarra for a special planting day as part of our Future Proofing the Cabbage Tree Palm project.
We’ll be planting Livistona australis—our iconic Cabbage Tree Palm known as Dharawal to the local First Nations people—along with a mix of native rainforest companion species beneath the majestic fig trees at the entrance to the beautiful Crooked River Estate vineyard.
This is more than just a planting—it’s part of an ambitious regeneration project helping to restore endangered Illawarra Lowland Subtropical Rainforest and build climate resilience at this iconic working vineyard.
Contribute to conservation efforts, and connect with community, and be part of something long-lasting—your trees will grow on a site you can visit for years to come.
We'll provide all the tools, and Crooked River Estate will generously provide a morning tea as well!
