Facilitated by Archna Tandon, this workshop will help you navigate the challenges of parenting in New Zealand when you come from a different cultural background . It will also help you enjoy your parenting journey more while creating good conditions for your children to contribute and thrive.
The topics to be covered in the 4,5 hour workshop :
- Ethnic family – culture and parenting
- New Zealand context of parenting
- New Zealand laws related to children.
- Dealing with bullying and racism
- Children’s rights, Children’s needs and development goals
- Positive parenting principles
- Tools and tips for positive parenting
