Explore the power of sense-bound language, a highly effective skill for all creative writing genres.

Music lecturer James O’Brien will explore skills and approaches that can hone and improve creative writing in any discipline (screen plays, scripts, song lyrics etc..) by enhancing our ability to observe and describe the world around us.

Approaches such as sense-bound writing, showing vs telling and metaphor not only integrate our unique way of seeing the world into our creative work but also focus our attention onto the present, potentially increasing the depth and weight of our everyday experiences.
