Cross St Music Festival our own CBD city Music and Arts is coming to Cross St!

An experiential journey of excitement and exploration awaits, if you have'nt been to one of our showcases, you are in for a treat! 

We have gathered our arts community to enhance the look and feel and bring the creative community of the Karangahape District into a celebration of NZ music and an appreciation of all our creative pathways...

Cross Street Music Festival now holds a special place in our Karangahape Road community's heart. Its significance has grown far beyond entertainment. This annual event not only showcases our immense local talent but also brings together artists and musicians from diverse backgrounds, enriching our cultural landscape. It is a coming together for our community to celebrate our shared love for the arts, bridge cultural gaps, fostering unity and a sense of belonging.

The lineups feature established acts alongside new emerging ones. The program is always adventurous and eclectic! The event nurtures budding artists and musicians and welcomes a wide lens of all artistic mediums to ensure the continuity of our vibrant arts scene. In doing so, the festival plays a real role in shaping our community's cultural identity and future

We are super stoked to announce Cross St Music Festival returns for its 6th annual showcase on March 9th 2024, we have pushed out the hours and can bring an 8 hour show to you starting at 4 pm and going through to 12 am.

Cross St is set in a small laneway in the central city behind Karangahape Road and is home to many NZ musical legends, we close the road pop up bars, a market some fine food trucks and seating with all options of delights from local NZ producers and makers

 We are excited to share some new music and some local favourites.

There is now available a limited amount of the cheapest festival tickets for you and your mates hands down across NZ,  we hope that you can join us again for a full day of partying in TAMAKI MAKAURAU with the rest of our inner city community!

FIRST RELEASE LINEUP  2024

Princess Chelsea , Fathe and the Sweetos, Mirror Ritual (Poneke),  Hot Sauce Club( Dunedin), OD , Junior Junior, Fruju Peak, DeepState, Baby Zionov and loads more music and performance pop-up acts and installations are yet to be announced !!

Supported by quality Kiwi brands Scapegrace and Mcleods Beer and Waihi and will the mixology of Bar Magda on Cross St, we have a wide variety of alcoholic, low alcoholic and 00 options to cater for everyone
