Event description

Cross stitching is a fun craft activity. It’s easy to learn, and once you've got the hang of it, it can be quite meditative too. 

In this hands-on workshop you will learn the basics of cross stitch and get started on creating your very own mini masterpiece!

Once you understand how the cross stitch grid works, you can create your own designs and illustrations to turn into unique mini artworks - for your wall, your jacket, your library bag...

What will we cover?

In this workshop, you will get an overview on essentials such as:

  • How to read the design chart
  • How to set up the hoop
  • Separating threads
  • The basics of cross-stitching and its materials

We will also cover the tips and tricks to ensure you know how to finish your piece and that it looks amazing!

Who will be teaching? 

Natalia (she/her) of Kisah Kasih Embroidery is a self-taught embroidery artist and also a lover of all things textile and sparkling beads. 

She is also a creative and an intimate, empowerment photographer.

Aside from her love of art and creative work, she also loves teaching and meeting new people. She can’t wait to spend time doing craft with you all. You can find out more about her work here.
