Crossroads: Madvillainy 20th Anniversary

Crossroads is back at 03 Sessions for another infusion of live band hiphop x jazz. This time the group is paying tribute to the legendary MF DOOM x Madlib MADVILLAINY record, as it celebrates 20 years since it's release in March.

Crossroads embodies the post-Dilla landscape of improvised music; harmonic impressionism, deep tone and stern backbeat. Think Chris Dave, Pino Palladino and Isaiah Sharkey at Blue Note. Think Art Blakey to Slum Village to D’Angelo to MJ. Think past Wynton Marsalis’ bedtime.
