Cruikshank Design Matters with Simon Small
Event description
Our next Cruikshank Design Matters event will happen at The Sherwood on 17th June at 5:30pm. Join us for dinner & drinks, ready to be inspired!
Ed and the team hope you are all getting warmed up for our next event where Simon Small, a technology entrepreneur, explains how he applied lessons from days in interactive television to a livestream show he devised which goes out across YouTube and all social media platforms.
He breaks down how the visual imagery you see on his “SaaS on the Street” show is made up and the creative choices that come from understanding the technology limitations of the software and pushing the boundaries.
This session goes far far beyond Zoom into what’s involved in making creative content come alive on any social media or large-screen tv for anyone broadcasting their ideas and content around the platform. Simon has learned from the best in the field and his “SaaS on the Street” stands up next to any other live-streamed show.
Simon Small has helped build two successful Software-as-a-Service business that are global leaders in their field of governance (www.diligent.com) and AI (www.arria.com). Prior to technology he was a playwright, co-founder of Pacific Underground (NZ’s longest running Pasifika Theatre Group) and a TV Director/Producer in NZ and the UK and an Interactive TV pioneer in the UK and NZ.
Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) refers to software that is rented monthly and lives in the cloud (eg Spotify).
We think this will be as informative as it is inspiring and are looking forward to seeing you on Thursday night, June 17th at 5:30pm.
