At the conclusion of Wolfe & World's "Colour Your World" wellbeing through photography exhibition, we're invited to contemplate and draw inspiration from the colours and healing power of nature.

Sound Baths are known to be be calming and restorative for the nervous system, mind and body, like a treatment for your whole being.

A time for you to centre back in, relax, recharge and renew, on a cellular level.

For those that don’t know me I’m a craniosacral osteopath, mind-body and energy practitioner and I approach sound baths as I do treatments. Gently and intuitively healing and restorative, tuned into you, and the energy of the room and the time.

This is a cosy space. Places are limited to 10.

3:15pm: Gather and settle. Time with Michelle and her artworks, to reflect and contemplate inspiration.

3:30pm: Short Introduction then Meditation leading into the playing of Quartz Crystal Sound Bowls and Pyramids for around 60 minutes.
You are free to lay down, sit on a chair or be in whatever position feels comfortable for you.

Sound Bath concludes with a short meditation

4:30pm: Serving of grounding, centering, stabilising and nourishing ceremonial grade cacao.

5pm: Event concludes.

WHAT TO BRING:

* Yoga Mat. I have a few spare if you need to borrow: please message me if you would like me to save you one

* Cushions or Pillows for your head or under knees

* Blanket to keep you cosy. We’ll have the room nice and warm too.

* Wear comfortable clothing and bring something warm to put on. Socks for the cooler weather

* Water or beverage of choice for hydration on your way home.

>>Your cells are in reset mode during and after a Sound Bath, just as they are with any body treatment, so hydration and nourishment afterwards are key.

PARKING:

Available in the main carpark at Orakei Bay Village. If the top carpark is full, there is more parking down the bottom by Plant Barn, then take the stairs back up to the main carpark.

WHAT IS A SOUND BATH?

A sound bath is a meditative experience where your mind and body can relax, unwind and restore itself as it is “bathed” in harmonising sound waves that can treat your body at a cellular level.

The sound produced by the pure quartz crystal sound bowls and pyramids creates an immersive sound that fills the room.

The felt vibrations of these “singing” instruments are of a particular resonance that can settle, harmonise, heal and restore at a cellular level, without you needing to actively “do” anything but take time for yourself to relax.

Similar in state to deep meditation, REM sleep or a craniosacral treatment, sound healing can reduce physical tension, pain and stress, increase emotional wellbeing and resilience, improve sleep and energy, and allow access to creative ideas and insights.

ABOUT ME

I approach Sound Baths as I do any treatment. Instead of using my hands to treat the body with the sense of touch, I play the bowls in an intuitively tuned in way that allows the whole space to be treated with Sound.

Sound Baths with me are gently relaxing and harmonising, from the Heart, uniquely tailored to who is present at the time.

I have a background in craniosacral osteopathy, mind-body medicine, the science of the heart with HeartMath and energy flows. I love co-creating harmonising, beautiful experiences that allow the mind and body to relax, recentre and renew.
