    Event description

Join us for an engaging Filmmakers Forum on the cultural importance of short film, where a panel of industry experts will dive into the unique role short films play in today’s cinematic landscape. We’ll explore why these films, though less visible in mainstream theaters, are culturally impactful: Why are they crucial to our culture? How do they differ from feature films in their creative expression and impact?

Short films, often overlooked in mainstream cinemas, provide a refreshing alternative to full-length features. Without the commercial pressures that typically accompany feature films, short films are a canvas for innovation, creativity, and artistic freedom. They offer filmmakers a space to experiment with storytelling, taking risks that reflect the immediacy of today’s world. This freedom of tone gives short films the power to mirror our culture, showcasing moments and
perspectives that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Whether you’re an industry professional, a student, or simply a film enthusiast, this forum will offer a space to ask questions and discuss the vital cultural significance of short films. Come and join the conversation!
