Build a Bamboo Cubby with Giant Grass

Nothing beats the joy of building together! A series of workshops run by Giant Grass, which will create a cubby for Newlands entirely out of sustainable bamboo.

Workshop #1 - Saturday 12th Feb (10-2pm)

Building the Cubby. Learn all about bamboo from Mittul at Giant Grass, and help to create the cubby from nothing! BBQ provided, and suitable for the whole family.

Workshop #2 - Saturday 19th Feb (10-1pm)

Designing the Cubby. Once the structure is up, it's time to start planning what it will look like! Giant Grass will run a collaborative community workshop to talk about different materials, light and texture.

Workshop #3 - Saturday 5th March (10-12pm)

Decoration Party! All of the hard work, planning and preparation is done... it's time to decorate and launch the Cubby into the world. Bring along your decorative designs and add them to the structure.
