    Join us for an enriching professional learning event led by renowned educator and thought leader, David Gilkes.

    Guided by key principles from the South Australian Strategy for Public Education, the Preschool Position Statement, and Version 2.0 of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), participants will explore the planning cycle and ideas for planning and designing for the curious and thinking child.

    Through a blend of insightful presentations and dynamic discussions, attendees will gain actionable insights and strategies to empower educators and teams.

    About David Gilkes, Early Years Education Consultant

    David Gilkes (B.Ed, MECE) has been a highly regarded early childhood educator for 30 years, the majority of this time spent working alongside 4- and 5-year-old children and their families in Tasmania and in Canberra. David possesses both a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Early Childhood Education (MECE).

    David’s thinking has been influenced and challenged by the Reggio Emilia educational project, and its provocation for the Australian context, for many years. David has given presentations, spoken at large conferences, and run workshops for various organisations, government and independent departments, and universities around the country. He has articles and chapters published in various education journals and books, including “The Challenge”, “Pedagogy+” and “Professional Educator”.
