Join Bunurong elder Sonia Weston for a talk on First Nations cultural heritage and a walk on the beach near Flat Rocks.

About this event

This activity will commence in the Bunurong Environment Centre with a yarn by Sonia Weston about the history of the Bunurong people of Gippsland. You will learn about the lifestyles and habits of the early inhabitants of the area and examine samples of the artefacts they left behind.

You will then travel by your own arrangements to Flat Rocks (about six kilometres) where Sonia will lead a gentle walk expanding on First Nations people's relationship with the land and sea and may demonstrate some traditional practices. There will be plenty of time for asking questions.
