Event description

This panel will explore the interdependent practices of artists and institutions and their relationship to sustainability, creative experimentation and professionalized markets. Examining these relationships with a cultural and economic critique, we will examine how accountability and social values are shaped by artists at the intersection of arts organizations, museums, and markets.

EFA OPEN STUDIOS welcomes the public to explore 74 artist studios, along with a host of arts programming and exhibitions, all located in the EFA building in Midtown Manhattan. This event offers a rare opportunity to witness the creative process up close and engage with a vibrant community of professional artists. Our internationally recognized members, each with established studio practices and career honors, will open their doors to showcase their most recent works. Additionally, the EFA Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop and EFA Project Space will be open for special events and tours, providing firsthand experiences of the transformative power of art.
