Event description

Death is a universal experience, but the way we deal with it varies greatly from culture to culture.

  • How do different groups view the transition from life to death?
  • What funerary and mourning rituals are present in our community & how do they vary between cultures?
  • How does a local funeral home accommodate people's traditions and individual wishes?

Join our learning event where we will hear from representatives from different cultural groups, religious representatives, and a funeral director as they discuss some of the varying cultural traditions, history and rituals associated with death and dying in our community. There will be an opportunity to ask questions. Please join us afterwards for snacks and conversation.

The event is free and open to anyone but there are limited places so please register.
