Event description

The National Reconciliation Week (NRW) 2025 theme, Bridging Now to Next, reflects the ongoing connection between past, present and future.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of learning and practicing Culture continue to be shared in 2025. These Cultural ways are not relics from the past, but living and breathing things that honour the past and the present, and will continue into the future.

Join Reconciliation South Australia for an interactive and practical day where you have the opportunity to learn through doing.

Start the day with a Welcome to Country and understand the importance of this traditional practice in our work as teachers and educators.

After some time together, we will break out into 4 sessions where you will get the opportunity to learn Kaurna language, learn and practice weaving techniques, learn about Torres Strait Islander Culture, and plan for reconciliation in your site.

Reconciliation South Australia will be joined by Uncle Tamaru, Uncle Eddie Peters and Aunty Janice Rigney. You'll get the chance to participate in all the sessions, and learn in an intimate and hands on way.

Morning tea and lunch included.

We look forward to seeing you there!
