Event description

Welcome to the vibrant and inclusive Cultures of the World Festival 2023, a momentous celebration that recognises and honours the extraordinary contributions of First Nations and CALD (Culturally & Linguistically Diverse) LGBTQIA+ artists and cultural educators to Sydney's thriving creative scene. Building upon the success of the inaugural festival in 2022, we are back with renewed energy and excitement!Set against the backdrop of World Pride 2023, a global celebration of diversity, acceptance, and equality, this festival is a joyous amalgamation of art, culture, and community.

Taking place in the month of June, the festival serves as a radiant tribute to the richness and resilience of these diverse communities, showcasing their unique stories, talents, and traditions. From captivating live music to thought-provoking performances, Cultures of the World Festival offers a kaleidoscope of artistic expressions and immersive experiences. Through music, dance, visual arts, Indigenous beading with Mami Watta Collections, and creative children's activities, attendees have the opportunity to engage with the diverse cultural tapestry that embellishes the city of Sydney.

Embracing the spirit of inclusivity, the festival aims to foster dialogue, understanding, and appreciation for the unique intersectional experiences of First Nations and CALD LGBTQIA+ individuals. It serves as a platform for artists and cultural educators to share their journeys, narratives, and perspectives, allowing attendees to gain insights into the diverse identities and histories that shape our society. Moreover, Cultures of the World Fest creates an inclusive space where individuals from all walks of life can come together in unity and celebration! Join us in this exhilarating celebration of culture, creativity, and community at Cultures of the World Fest 2023.
