John Sherwood - Keynote Speaker: The Curdies Story - From Crater to Coast

Meet Dr. John Sherwood, whose journey in environmental research and management spans over four decades. John's career began in 1979 when he joined the Warrnambool Institute of Advanced Education as a Lecturer, relocating his family from Sydney to Warrnambool. John has strong environmental research interests and is actively involved in environmental management. He and his students have studied many of the rivers and lakes of western Victoria. Until July 2024 he served on the Victorian Marine and Coastal Council and has previously been a member of the Board of Glenelg-Hopkins CMA, the Western Coastal Board, Victoria’s National Parks Advisory Council and Victoria’s Fisheries Co-management Council.
