Event description

The Curious About Culture Festival is a one-day summer event celebrating Melbourne / Naarm’s diverse community of over 40 self-identifying Women of Colour creatives, entrepreneurs and performers.

We're bringing you live art, music, dance, food, drink and a series of craft and wellness workshops from all cultures of the world that make this city #UniquelyMelbourne. And of course, we're hosting it at the iconic 524Flinders warehouse!

Here's a taste of what we're bringing you on the day:

- Quintessential craft workshops (heard of Craft Boss Kitiya Palaskas?)

- A live set by rising neo soul RnB singer Komang

- Henna artistry fit for Mughal royalty

- Glamourous Samba dancing

- Fashion photo shoot corner

- Over 20 stalls from small business owners including migrant, refugee and regional Women of Colour creative entrepreneurs offering beautiful art, homewares, clothing, footwear, toys, jewellery, and much, much more.

So come along to support! Everyone is invited for a day that is going to be all about community connection and shining the spotlight on an incredible group of creative entrepreneurs. Every ticket includes complimentary henna and threading!

Date: Sunday 21 March 2021
