Curry Punk & Jelly Brain: A Foray Among Fungi with Alison Pouliot

Fungi appear in all manner of guises from mushrooms to puffballs, to corals, to jellies and even kookier forms.

Join Alison for an exciting fungal foray through the diverse habitat types near Healesville to discover, explore and examine a great range of fascinating fungi.

Participants will learn the basics of finding and identifying fungi, their links with plants and animals, as well as their curious cultural histories.

The foray will be held at Badger Weir (Badger Weir Rd, Badger Creek). Please meet at the Badger Creek Picnic Ground car park at 10am.

Be sure to dress warmly and in waterproof clothing as the foray will go ahead regardless of weather. Please wear shoes suitable for walking, as we will be on our feet for at least 90 minutes.

Please not that this is a foray not a forage (i.e. we will be finding a range of fungi, discussing, identifying, photographing etc., but not collecting them).

This foray is suitable for adults and in the interest of other participants we please ask that you leave your dog at home.
