Cute Closed Terrariums with Winter

Event description

Closed terrariums are miniature, self-sufficient indoor gardens. They'reΒ cute, fun to make, simple to care for, and easy to recreate again at home.Β 

If you manage toΒ kill even the most un-killable of cacti but still yearn for some greenery at your office or home, then working with terrariums might be your best bet.

A terrarium is hassle-free and if you do it right you never have to water it or remove the lid! And, once you've learned how to build your first terrarium, you can make them again yourselfΒ as gifts for your friends' - housewarmings, birthdays, Thank-yous...even cuter with a personalised trinket.

All materials are provided and you'll get to take home your beautiful creation at the end of the workshop!

What will we cover?

This is a fun, hands on class were you’ll go home with your little patch of green bliss.Β 

Within the workshop you will learn how:

  • Terrariums actually work
  • To constructΒ them usingΒ layering techniques
  • To decorate andΒ β€œlandscape” your creation
  • To continue toΒ care for yours at home

All materials will be supplied, but feel freeΒ to bring in some littleΒ figurines or trinket to personalise your terrarium!

    Who will be Teaching?

    Who will be Teaching? Winter (she/her) is a passionate green-thumb and proud kokedama parent to many thriving moss balls. As well as interests in plants and gardening, Winter is a hobby collector - always trying out new things - and has a particular soft spot for anything that glows-in-the-dark.
