Cute & Cozy: Knitted Scrunchie Workshop at Shop Gal

A one-night machine knitting workshop in the heart of Fitzroy, hosted as part of the Cute & Cozy Pop Up at Shop Gal.

Led by Loré Loré founder Lorena, this hands-on taster is designed for complete beginners. You'll get your own knitting machine for the full three hours, learn the basics of machine knitting, and walk away with a handcrafted knitted scrunchie made entirely by you, from scratch.

No experience needed. No creative background required. Just show up ready to make something.

What makes this night special: This isn't a drop-in craft activity. It's a proper introduction to machine knitting in a small group setting where every participant is guided through the full process, from getting set up on the machine to knitting the piece to finishing it by hand. You'll leave with a real understanding of how it was made and something genuinely worth wearing.

The workshop is hosted at Shop Gal, one of Fitzroy's most loved independent retailers, as part of their Cute & Cozy Pop Up for May. It's a creative night out in a beautiful space with a maximum of six people, so the experience stays intimate and personal.
