Ever wondered how a carbon footprint is calculated? This workshop (running as part of the National Sustainable Living Festival 2022) will provide an introduction to carbon accounting – discussing the principles & methodologies, the different scopes of GHG emissions as well as the data & process required to undertake a carbon inventory.

The session will follow the guidance from the GHG Protocol and will involve getting participants to calculate some simple equations to put learnings into practice (so using a calculator is recommended).

This is part two of two workshops titled ‘Counting Carbon’. Our first session covers an introduction to taking climate action as a business, discussing current climate projections and key contributors to a carbon footprint, including the process involved with achieving carbon neutrality or net zero emissions.
