CW Big Band - Celebrating Canberra Women in Jazz

The Canberra Women’s (CW) Big Band are back! Join us for a night of fabulous big band music on this very special International Women’s Day 2025!

After a very special sold out gig 5 years ago, the CW Big Band have come back together to showcase some of the finest local musicians, and celebrate composers from Canberra, Australia and around the world. Experience some fantastic works from local hero Sally Greenaway, Miho Hazama, Patty Darling and others, and sing along to well known hits from Beyonce, Carole King, Aretha Franklin, Dua Lipa and more.

Featuring musicians from Spectrum Big Band, In Full Swing, Blamey St Big Band, Connexion, Sonus Big Band and more.

All profits and fundraising from the raffle from the event will be donated to Karinya House.

Karinya House walks with women in Canberra and the surrounding Region providing safety, shelter and a positive support network. A local, not for profit organisation, the Karinya House funding framework is a true cooperative of individuals, families, community groups, corporates, philanthropic and government funding partners.
