Cyber Security in Agriculture
Event description
Learn the essential digital steps to safeguard your business. Enhance your cyber security awareness, risk management and data security in a smart and effective way.
As part of our regional community, we know you understand the importance of cyber security and being safe online. Our event is to assist your small businesses, primary producers, ag-tech startups and agribusiness in everyday practise by building your digital knowledge and cyber security in a judgement-free environment.
We are hosting three segments over the course of the day and evening – workshops for practical cyber security education; an expo to highlight the services and products available to assist you; and a delicious dinner with keynote speaker Darren Kane, Chief Security Officer at NBN Co. Darren’s career includes 13 years with the Australian Federal Police, over six years with the Australian Securities & Investments Commission, and 11 years with Telstra in various management roles. His insights are invaluable and essential to understand.
The first element includes two practical cyber security workshops from cyber specialists Jay Davis from Indigo IT Labs and Dan Fewster from Community Business Connect. They will guide you through essential cyber security steps to protect yourself and your business. The workshops are designed to increase your digital awareness, address potential threats, and educate you on risk management planning, overall security and protection of your data.
Following on from the workshops will be an informative expo of technology support and regional services who can assist you and your business with helpful tools and resources.
Then onto our formal dinner, an excellent opportunity for you to connect with others in the agriculture industry, and to hear from a Cyber Security expert regarding online resilience and more. Be ready for an evening of encouragement and knowledge to get you and your business cyber ready.
AgBiz Assist would like to thank our funding body, AgriFutures, and our sponsors for making this essential regional event possible.
