Cybersecurity Awareness for Small Businesses
Please note: this event is run by the Small Business Development Corporation for small business
owners in Western Australia only.
Cyber security awareness is critical for small business owners in helping to protect them from potential cyber attacks. Poor password hygiene, browsing unsafe websites, spam emails and failing to update software regularly are some ways cyber criminals find vulnerabilities to exploit. This workshop will help you identify cyber security measures you can take to build cyber resilience and reduce the risk of cyber security attacks.
This topic covers:
• How to stay safe online.
• Backing up your data.
• Protecting your business from the most common types of cyber threats.
• Building cyber resilience through business improvements and actions that will protect you from cyber security threats.
This session is for business owners looking to expand their cyber security knowledge.
The facilitator of this topic, Belmont Business Enterprise Centre (Belmont BEC) is a non profit community based organisation established in 1994 to assist in the growth and development of small business.
