Cycle More is a confidence-building course for adults or teens who can already ride a bike but may feel uncertain riding further, in new environments, or with traffic around. If you want to develop your skills for commuting, touring, or simply riding for fun and fitness, this course is for you.

Whether you’ve just completed our Cycle Well learn-to-ride course or are returning to cycling after a long break, Cycle More provides the tools, skills, and support to help you ride more often, more confidently, and more independently.

Who this course is for:

This course is ideal for adults who:

Can already ride a bike short distances
Feel nervous or unsure riding in public or on shared paths
Want to improve their bike handling, safety, and road awareness
Are interested in commuting, longer recreational rides, or riding with family and friends

What you’ll gain:

Over five supportive, hands-on sessions, you will:
✅ Learn safe bike handling and braking techniques
✅ Practice navigating shared paths and quiet suburban roads
✅ Build confidence with road safety principles and traffic awareness
✅ Understand the rules of riding in Canberra
✅ Improve your posture, balance, and gear use
✅ Learn how to look after your bike (and yourself!)
✅ Gain the lifelong skills needed for everyday cycling, touring, and recreation

Cycle More is delivered by a qualified AusCycling-accredited instructor, with support from a second trained trainer. Our small group format ensures you receive personalised attention and feel comfortable asking questions at any stage.

Additional Info:

Participants must bring their own Australian Standards–approved helmet
You’ll need to bring your own bike
Each session runs for 2-3 hours, every Saturday for 5 weeks
Visit to a coffee shop included in the program
The course is run in a combination of car-free and low-traffic environments
