Cyclonats Festival Night Ride Bike Party
Event description
What's a bike party? Dearly beloved, we roll beside Lake Burley Griffin playing music from a partybox speaker, laughing and chatting, and celebrating this thing we call life. Brakes and lights are compulsory. All cycles, scooters and roller skates/blades are welcome.
Give us your song requests (ideally under six minutes), from any genre, and we'll play them.
For an idea about what to expect, here’s one we prepared earlier during Halloween.
We'll meet outside Smith's Alternative - Cyclonats Headquarters - then down Marcus Clarke St and then a clockwise loop around the Central Basin of Lake BG. If there's demand, we'll stop for a meal/drink at The Jetty, and then see Lindy Lee's Ouroubouros sculpture at the National Gallery of Australia. Then over Commonwealth Ave Bridge, Lawson Crescent, Sullivans Creek, and the ANU campus, finishing at The Street Theatre.
